Technology Integration
Technology plays an important role in the way we design, develop and teach our units. Harnessing the affordances of different technologies that include the Learning Management System (Blackboard) through to video and interactive content can support your students in their learning experiences. For technology use to be meaningful your approach needs to encompass the integration of the technology rather than an ‘add on’ approach. The technology should not simply provide ‘bells and whistles’ but rather create opportunities for cognitive engagement. This means you must not only understand how to use technology, but why to use it.
For support and help with the how or the why of integrating technology consider coming to one of our Friday Free-for-all sessions.
For specific help with how to use a piece of technology contact the servicedesk@scu.edu.au or access these resources.
