Unit description
Encourages deep understandings through interdisciplinary explorations of real-world problems, solutions and responses. Students develop their understanding of a variety of interdisciplinary frameworks as well as explore connections between disciplines. These frameworks are applied to observations of teaching and learning in the real-world. The unit emphases critical and creative thinking, literacy and numeracy, and ethical and interconnected approaches to problems that matter.
Unit content
Module 1. Introduction to Interdisciplinarity: definitions and frameworks.
Module 2. Transforming Language and Literacy through Interdisciplinary Approaches.
Module 3. Transforming PDHPE and Humanities through Interdisciplinary Approaches.
Module 4. Transforming the Creative Arts through Interdisciplinary Approaches.
Module 5. Transforming STEM through Interdisciplinary Approaches.
Module 6. Interdisciplinary Futures: where to from here.
