Unit description

This unit encourages students to recognise and create opportunities, using operational and collaborative capacity to introduce new and improved products and services. Students will use a range of approaches, tools, systems and processes to enhance their creative capabilities contributing to innovative business sustainability and growth.

4. Innovation project management.

5. Innovation tools and processes.

6. Innovation change agents.

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
1Examine how a culture that values diversity and innovation can help organisations to generate value for their stakeholders.
2Analyse and evaluate innovation concepts, theories and strategies to support business sustainability and growth.
3Integrate innovation management strategies to improve an organisation's innovation culture and performance.
4Communicate effectively and professionally with a range of stakeholders about innovation management strategies for improved organisational culture and performance.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
