Unit description

Explores the nature of issues and are introduced to the critical enquiry methods required in the context of Arts and Business Studies. Students will learn how to write a report and communicate their explanations and conclusions.

Unit content

The unit consists of six modules:

  1. Thinking critically about issues
  2. Examining issues through reports
  3. The issue of sustainability
  4. Sustainability perspectives
  5. Sustainability initiatives
  6. Conclusions and recommendations

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
