  • Enrolment information

    There will be a 3 day compulsory residential for all students (Online and On Campus) that will be held on the Lismore campus. Please refer to http://scu.edu.au/timetables for further information on timetables. Students of the unit are expected to participate in lectures and field exercises of the matching undergraduate unit in Forest Operations (FORS2003 - Forest Operations), and is a requirement to pass this unit.


Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

demonstrate a capacity to understand and elucidate a complex problem

demonstrate skills in describing a complex problem as a computer based simulation model

demonstrate a capacity to use a model to manage decisions under changing operational environment
