Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

demonstrate advanced skills and independent research to complex legal issues to arrive at a new understanding in relation to specific legal issues

undertake a research project that demonstrates a coherent understanding and appropriate application of advanced research principles and methods

create an original contribution to the field of legal knowledge and present the results of advanced legal research and in an appropriate scholarly written form.
