Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

discuss the concept of humans as occupational beings and synthesise the relationship between occupation, health, and wellbeing within diverse global contexts

apply occupational therapy values, beliefs, and philosophical perspectives in analysing human occupation

apply the stages of the occupational therapy process to low complexity scenarios

gather, synthesise, and interpret information for a simulated client to inform client-centred assessment and intervention planning which draws on evidence-informed processes and demonstrates culturally responsive practice
