    This unit includes work integrated learning. Students are not permitted to enrol in any other units at the same time. Students are required to meet mandatory fit to practice obligations prior to attending work integrated learning. Failure to comply by the fit to practice deadline will result in the cancellation of student enrolment and students will not be permitted to continue in this unit. Full details are available at www.scu.edu.au/health/work-integrated-learning Students will likely have to travel away from their local area as learning opportunities may be located anywhere in Australia. Students are required to support themselves financially (including accommodation, travel and living expenses).


Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

apply the occupational therapy process and demonstrate professional reasoning under supervision

communicate effectively with clients, families, team members, and other stakeholders using professional verbal, written, and non-verbal strategies

reflect on and respond to feedback, showing initiative and self-direction to enhance competence, self-management, and professional development
