Recommended that students undertake Foundations for Religious Education as the first unit in the Graduate Certificate in Religious Education.
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
apply critical and creative approaches to the use of religious texts in teaching, demonstrating confidence, problem-solving skills, and adaptability in team work within religious education settings.
integrate theological and religious frameworks to design curriculum and associated classroom resources.
design, justify and communicate curriculum plans and pedagogical strategies that integrate theological and religious frameworks to address diverse educational needs.
apply critical and creative approaches to the use of religious texts in teaching, demonstrating confidence, problem-solving skills, and adaptability in teamwork within religious education settings.
