Equips students with foundational knowledge of tourism systems, emphasising impacts, stakeholder analysis, ethical considerations, cross-cultural and Indigenous perspectives and the application of contemporary theories to real-world tourism planning and development.

Learning outcomes

describe the components and dynamics of tourism systems using contemporary theoretical frameworks

analyse the social, cultural, economic, and environmental impacts of tourism on diverse stakeholders

collaboratively apply tourism planning principles to develop a product or experience that meets stakeholder needs

evaluate ethical considerations and governance challenges in tourism development through case studies and reflective practice.
