Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

apply specialised knowledge of veterinary pharmacology to formulate treatment plans for common veterinary conditions

apply specialised knowledge of the major veterinary drugs to promote animal health, well-being and productivity

demonstrate proficiently in communicating key concepts in veterinary medicine regulations and drug withholding periods

integrate and communicate across a range of cultural contexts the importance of antimicrobial and anthelmintic resistance while engaging in reflective practice.
