The SCU After Hours Crisis Counselling Support Line — 1300 782 676 and Crisis Support Text Line 0488 884 143 — operates between 5pm to 9am on weekdays and offers a 24 hour service on weekends, public holidays and during University closure periods. The service is operated by a team of qualified crisis support specialists who provide support to:
- find immediate relief from emotional distress
- explore coping strategies for the current crisis,
- safely manage any immediate threats to life or safety
- assistance in identifying pathways to further care.
The service offers immediate and short-term crisis support only. For ongoing counselling contact the counselling service for an appointment.
