Southern Cross University STEM Scholarship

The Faculty of Science and Engineering, we are nurturing students and supporting researchers who are equipped to meet future challenges and transform our tomorrow. This scholarship will assist students who will require skilled professional knowledgeable in the fields of Environmental Science, Marine system, Engineering and Information Technology.

Scholarship details

Students do not have to apply for Southern Cross University STEM Scholarships. The Scholarships will be awarded to 2026 school leavers with offers to commence a full-time STEM* Bachelor degree program in 2027. 

* See Course of Study and Eligibility criteria for specific courses and starting requirements.

Either one of the following Bachelor programs: Bachelor of Science; Bachelor of Engineering (Honours); Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Information Technology studying full time at Southern Cross University in a commonwealth supported place,

Or

admission to one of the aforementioned degrees as part of a packaged offer combined with full time study of one of these following commonwealth supported enabling programs offered by Southern Cross University: Diploma of Science; Diploma of Engineering; Diploma of Information Technology; Associate Degree of Engineering or Preparing for Success Program.

To be eligible each recipient must:

  1. Be a domestic student in a Commonwealth-supported place.
  2. Be an Australian Citizen or holder of a current Permanent Resident Visa for Australia or a current Permanent Humanitarian Visa for Australia.
  3. Have completed Year 12 in 2026 at one of these identified regional High Schools.
  4. Be commencing in Term 1, 2027 full-time study at Southern Cross University in one of the select degree programs: Bachelor of Science; Bachelor of Engineering (Honours); Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Information Technology OR
  5. Be commencing in Term 1, 2027 a pre-bachelor program such as Diploma of Science; Diploma of Engineering; Diploma of Information Technology; Associate Degree of Engineering or Preparing for Success Program, as part of a packaged offer into one of the aforementioned (see point 4) degree programs.
  6. Not be receiving any other Southern Cross University funded scholarship OR has elected to rescind any previously accepted Southern Cross University funded scholarship.

Selection will be based on:

  1. All eligible students will receive an offer.
