Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
demonstrate a knowledge of the range of modelling types and their applications
develop skills to be able to produce simple models of objects in the workshop
demonstrate understanding of occupational health and safety policy requirements of the model making workshop environment and be able to demonstrate safe working practices on a selected range of equipment
demonstrate understanding of basic fabrication in 3d printing, laser cutting and CNC routing.
