Unit Snapshot

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

articulate the conditions and contradictions of key discourses relevant to post-1960s art and visual culture

articulate the relation between a range of art practices and critical theories relevant to post-1960s art

produce original and historically accurate research that draws from academic sources

summarise the similarities and differences between modern and postmodern art.
