Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
analyse common conditions experienced by children and adolescents to determine their impact on occupational participation
select, apply, and interpret appropriate standardised and non-standardised assessments and outcome measures for paediatric practice
design and justify occupational therapy interventions for children and adolescents by integrating professional theory, research evidence, and professional reasoning
develop occupational therapy practice which considers the perspectives of clients, families and other stakeholders to ensure safe, ethical, and culturally responsive practice
