Unit description

This unit consolidates professional reasoning, leadership, and self-management skills to support students’ transition to graduate occupational therapy practice. Students will integrate and adapt knowledge from across the program to manage complex client scenarios and anticipate emerging areas of practice and evolving health care delivery models. The unit focuses on job readiness, credentialing requirements, and professional portfolio development, alongside strategies for lifelong learning. Through interactive workshops and reflective activities, students will refine communication skills for diverse audiences and critically evaluate their competency development. A capstone activity will enable students to demonstrate readiness for safe, ethical, and leadership-driven practice as they enter the profession.
