Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

demonstrate competence across the Australian Occupational Therapy Competency Standards including ethical, culturally responsive, and client-centred practice in diverse settings as assessed by the SPEF-R2

integrate professional reasoning and evidence-informed approaches to manage complex caseloads and service delivery challenges, incorporating contemporary practice influences

collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams, applying advocacy and problem-solving skills to promote occupational justice and participation for clients

critically reflect on practice to confirm readiness for professional registration, identifying areas for ongoing professional development, and consideration of factors that shape occupational therapy practice
