Unit description

This unit develops high school students' understanding of the university culture of scholarship and the expectations of university study. Students will explore the culture of academic enquiry and the conventions of written communication at university, in relation to marine studies. Students develop an understanding of, and skills in, critical thinking and analysis, academic reading, academic writing, academic integrity, digital and information literacy, research and self-management skills.

5. Finding and using sources; and referencing

6. Introduction to research and data analysis

Learning outcomes
