Southern Cross University issues Student ID Cards to all students. The card remains valid while you are a student and should be carried with you whenever you are on campus. You must read the terms and conditions of Student ID Card use before you submit a request for your ID card.

You need an ID Card to:

  • Borrow from the Library
  • Attend examinations
  • Access computer labs and other approved University buildings after hours
  • Use the student printers at Lismore and Gold Coast campuses.

Obtaining your Student ID Card

By eForm

Complete an Photo ID Card Request eForm through My Enrolment > eForms. You will need to upload a recent passport style photo and a copy of your photo ID (e.g. driver’s licence or passport). Your ID card will be sent to your contact address.

For female students who wear head coverings for religious reasons, head coverings must not obstruct view from the bottom of the chin to the top of the forehead and both edges of the face must be shown. This process follows the Australian Passport Office guidelines.

In person

Complete a Photo ID Card Request Form at one of our Client Service locations. We’ll take your photo and issue you with the card while you wait. Please also bring with you some other form of photographic identification (such as a driver’s licence or passport).

Lost or Stolen cards

Lost or stolen cards can be replaced at a cost of $20 per card. Please pay the required amount to the University Cashier. Bring your receipt to the Student Centre at your campus. Complete a Photo ID Request form at one of our Client Service locations. We'll take your photo and issue you with the card while you wait. Please also bring with you some other form of photographic identification (such as a driver’s licence or passport).

If you can’t get to one of the campuses, then please make out a cheque or money order payable to Southern Cross University for this amount and upload your receipt when you submit your Photo ID Card Request eForm, recent passport style photo and a copy of your photo ID (e.g. driver’s licence or passport).
