How to get your Student ID Card
Southern Cross University issues Student ID Cards to all students. The card remains valid while you are a student and should be carried with you whenever you are on campus.
You must read the terms and conditions of Student ID Card use before you submit a request for your Student ID Card.

You need a Student ID Card to:
- Borrow from the Library
- Attend examinations
- Access computer labs and other approved University buildings after-hours
- Use the student printers at Lismore, Gold Coast, and National Marine Science Centre campuses.

Requesting a Student ID Card
In person
You can request a Student ID Card either in person at one of our Client Services front counters or by filling in an Student ID Card eForm.
If you are on our Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast or Lismore campuses, you can request a Student ID card by visiting Client Services at the Student Centre or Hub.
You will need to show photo ID (e.g driver’s licence or passport) and you will be required to have your photo taken. Photos must comply with the Australian Passport Office guidelines.
Please note that due to current social distancing requirements, excessive queuing is not permitted at any of our Client Service locations. Therefore, during peak times you might be asked to either come back at a quieter time or submit an online request.

By eForm
Complete an Photo ID Card Request eForm through My Enrolment > eForms. You will need to upload a recent passport style photo and a copy of your photo ID (e.g. driver’s licence or passport). Your ID card will be processed within three business days and sent to your contact address.
Photos must comply with the Australian Passport Office guidelines.
For female students who wear head coverings for religious reasons, head coverings must not obstruct view from the bottom of the chin to the top of the forehead and both edges of the face must be shown.
Lost or stolen cards
Lost or stolen cards can be replaced at a cost of $25 per card. To arrange a replacement card, please submit your Photo ID Card Request eForm with a recent passport style photo and a copy of your photo ID (e.g. driver’s licence or passport). An Invoice will be emailed to your student email address, to be paid via the Payment Portal.
