How to get your student ID card

  During this period of temporary closures to our campus counters all ID cards will be mailed to your preferred address.

Southern Cross University issues Student ID Cards to all students. The card remains valid while you are a student and should be carried with you whenever you are on campus. You must read the terms and conditions of Student ID Card use before you submit a request for your ID card.

You need an ID Card to:

  • Borrow from the Library
  • Attend examinations
  • Access computer labs and other approved University buildings after hours
  • Use the student printers at Lismore, Gold Coast, and National Marine Science Centre campuses.

Obtaining your Student ID Card

By eForm

Complete an Photo ID Card Request eForm through My Enrolment > eForms. You will need to upload a recent passport style photo and a copy of your photo ID (e.g. driver’s licence or passport). Your ID card will be processed within 3 business days and sent to your contact address.

For female students who wear head coverings for religious reasons, head coverings must not obstruct view from the bottom of the chin to the top of the forehead and both edges of the face must be shown. This process follows the Australian Passport Office guidelines.

In person

Attend one of our Client Service locations and we’ll take your photo and issue you with the card while you wait. Please also bring with you some other form of photographic identification (such as a driver’s licence or passport).

Lost or Stolen cards

Lost or stolen cards can be replaced at a cost of $25 per card. Please pay the required amount using the Payment Portal on My Enrolment, then attend one of our Client Service locations. We'll take your photo and issue you with the card while you wait. Please also bring with you some other form of photographic identification (such as a driver’s licence or passport).

If you can’t get to one of the campuses, please submit your Photo ID Card Request eForm with a recent passport style photo and a copy of your photo ID (e.g. driver’s licence or passport). An Invoice will be emailed to your student email address, to be paid via the Payment Portal.
