In our commitment to maintaining the highest level of security for the university's assets and information, we are implementing proactive measures to upgrade our security system. As part of this initiative, we have replaced all existing staff ID cards.

Access for all old cards has been disabled. If you are having trouble with your card, please present to one of the below locations as soon as possible:

Campus Security are available 24hrs/7days a week for all campuses with Offices manned at all times at the Lismore and Gold Coast Campuses. Can can call or present to these locations to report incidents, enquire about lost property or use it as a safe and handy meeting point / taxi collection point at night.

Security Top Tips:

  • Save the security number for your campus on your mobile phone.
  • Keep your contact details up-to-date with SCU. Students can update their contact details in 'My Enrolment' and staff should advise HR Services of any changes.
  • Stay alert, assertive and confident. Be aware of your surroundings and report anything unusual and suspicious to Security.
  • If unsure, walk with others rather than alone.
  • Keep your money and wallet in your front pocket and keep your bag in front of you.
  • At night, stay in well-lit areas, where there are other people.
