Looking to progress your career in the civil construction industry?
The course is designed for school leavers or those with a trade qualification who are looking to upskill and move into supervisory roles. It has a focus on developing technical and practical skills needed by industry.
Graduate opportunities exist as site supervisors and project managers in the civil construction industry. This course also provides a pathway to further study in civil engineering at a Bachelor or Associate Degree level.
Students complete the equivalent of eight core units.

Our online study option is highly interactive and strives to promote collaboration and a sense of community. This will involve structured online learning modules employing cutting-edge learning technologies such as adaptive learning, virtual reality, and augmented reality. Wherever possible, learning will be project-based to ensure that students are continually relating classroom learning to workplace skills. The method of teaching may vary from unit to unit.
This course prepares graduates for further study or to work at the paraprofessional level as asset managers, drafters, estimators, inspectors, modellers, planners, property managers, safety officers, schedulers, site supervisors, surveyors, project managers, team leaders, technical writers, testers and project managers in the civil construction industry.
You will need to undertake at least one seven-week work placement. Ideally, you will complete the entire course while working in industry, although this is not mandatory.
