Admissions Transparency at Southern Cross University

Everyone’s path to university looks a little different.

You might be coming from TAFE, applying with an ATAR, moving from another university, starting as an international student, or returning to study after time away. Some students bring experience, others bring ambition - most bring a mix of both. That’s where admission pathways come in.

Although an ATAR is published for many undergraduate courses, it’s not the only way to gain entry to Southern Cross University. Places may also be offered based on other aspects of secondary education, vocational education and training, previous higher education, work experience, or course‑specific requirements such as auditions, portfolios or interviews.

This information is outlined on individual course pages and within the pathway options.

If you’d like more detail about admissions at Southern Cross University, the following information provides additional context, transparency and data to support your application.

More information about applications to study with Southern Cross University can be found on the How to Apply page.
