Friends of the Arts Foundation, Gold Coast, Emerging Artist Scholarship

Friends of The Arts Foundation, Gold Coast, Emerging Artist Scholarship is a one-year scholarship designed to provide support to a student pursuing a creative arts degree. Eligible degrees include Bachelor of Contemporary Music, Bachelor of Digital Media, Bachelor of Arts (creative writing), Bachelor of Arts (digital media), Diploma of Arts (digital media, creative writing), and Bachelor of Art and Design. The student must be 25 years or younger in 2024, and reside within the Gold Coast local government area.

This scholarship is made possible through the generous funding from the Friends of Arts Foundation, Gold Coast.

Applicants applying for this Scholarship must:

  1. Qualify for admission and/or be enrolled (on-campus or online) in one of the following degrees:
    • Bachelor of Contemporary Music
    • Bachelor of Digital Media
    • Bachelor of Arts (creative writing)
    • Bachelor of Arts (Digital Media)
    • Bachelor of Art and Design
    • Diploma of Arts (Digital Media, Creative Writing)
  2. Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Be 25 years or younger, in 2024.

Selection will be based on:

  1. An assessment of the personal introductory statement (consisting of 100–200 words)
  2. Candidates should demonstrate a passionate engagement in their chosen creative field and excel both artistically, and academically.
