Mr Rob Bruce

Rob has more than twenty-five years experience in Learning and Development across tertiary, vocational, and industry sectors. He is recognised as a leader in educational and instructional design, workplace training, and capability building.

Rob has been responsible for driving institution-wide online learning initiatives, providing strategic academic leadership and guiding the transformation of learning and teaching into high-quality asynchronous modalities. His roles have included advising academic leaders on curriculum and assessment, overseeing professional learning programs, and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture - an area in which he has received formal university recognition.

His experience focuses on integrating emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, into course design and delivery. He has led pioneering projects in partnership with academics, including the development of AI-driven asynchronous learning for large-scale courses such as the Master of IT and Cyber Security.

Rob's career includes leading the transition to new digital learning environments, managing educational design teams, and delivering innovative MOOC and blended learning solutions at Griffith University and TAFE Queensland. Committed to institutional excellence, quality assurance, and evidence-based practice, Rob contributes to academic policy development, staff recruitment and mentoring, and the continual enhancement of teaching capability across disciplines.
