Kathryn is a legal practitioner specialising in energy and resources major projects, both front end and back end. Kathryn is also a legal project management consultant, assisting institutional clients and international law firms to see eye to eye on structuring large matters to enable the most effective delivery of legal services in the most cost efficient manner by adapting traditional project management tools and techniques for implementation in the legal services world.
In addition to legal project management consulting, Kathryn is General Counsel for an ASX listed contractor in the energy and resources sector and is part of the executive team responsible for the successful delivery of major projects, with a particular focus on their legal, regulatory and compliance aspects. Kathryn is also an experienced university lecturer and tutor, and has been presenting CPD seminars to the legal profession for several years.
Not content with life in the office, Kathryn also spent a few years sweltering through wet seasons in the Top End working on the Ichthys LNG project and has worked on many major construction projects in Western Australia. With a breadth of experience in project management gained through working on resources and major construction projects, from project inception through to closure together with resolving disputes at all stages along the way, Kathryn is able to provide students with a unique perspective on project management in both the energy and resources sector and in the legal world with a solid grounding in understanding the best methods of prevention and successful resolution of disputes in major projects
