Biography

Dr. Edward Narayan is an experienced academic with a PhD in Biology and over 20 years of university teaching. He specializes in biological sciences and science education, with a focus on student success through blended learning, mentorship, and research-led innovation.

Research

Dr. Narayan's research focuses on comparative endocrinology and stress physiology in the broader umbrella of animal and veterinary sciences. His work in educational research examines strategies to enhance student engagement, scientific literacy, and curriculum coherence in undergraduate science programs. Additionally, he has secured competitive research grants and collaborated on international projects, including sustainable agriculture initiatives and student engagement programs.

Teaching

Dr. Narayan has extensive experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in biology, biomedical sciences, and veterinary sciences. He has coordinated courses in anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, integrating digital learning tools such as Lt Kuracloud and PowerLabs to enhance student learning. He has also mentored Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students, supporting them in research methodologies, academic writing, and professional development.
