I am an experienced educator and researcher with a strong background in biology, veterinary, animal, biodiversity conservation, biomedical sciences, and science education. With over 20 years of university teaching experience, I have contributed significantly to undergraduate and postgraduate education, specializing in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophysiology, and Molecular Biology. My academic journey includes a PhD in Biology, multiple postdoctoral fellowships, and a track record of fostering student success through innovative teaching methods and digital learning platforms.
I have published 118 peer-reviewed papers, accumulating 2027 citations and an H-index of 26. My research expertise spans stress physiology, animal welfare, and applied biological sciences, complemented by successful grant acquisitions and HDR student supervision. Additionally, I have engaged in international collaborations, including the EU-funded ClearFarm project and a Visiting Professorship at the Technical University of Munich.
