Dr Nicola Whiteing is a Senior Lecturer and Curriculum Lead for Nursing. Nicola has a PhD from Central Queensland University and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Nicola’s research focuses on curriculum design and workforce development and capacity with a focus on working in regional, rural and remote areas. She is particularly interested in how new workforce models and preparation of nurses can address gaps in health care service provisions in rural and remote areas. Nicola has experience in case study, qualitative and mixed methods methodologies.
