Biography
Dr Jenelle Benson is an Academic Skills Lecturer in the Centre for Teaching and learning at Southern Cross University. Before joining SCU, she worked in the education department at Griffith University delivering mathematics and science content for undergraduates and preparing students for practicums in the GradDip program.
Research
Jenelle's research interests include online delivery, innovation and engagement in the online classroom, student usage of internet assignment apps, embedding scaffolding and exemplars into the classroom to improve student’s success for domestic and international students.
Other
She has spent the last 10 years teaching either online or in a blended format delivering mathematics and science. Through this experience, she has developed several strategies for best practices for developing content and delivering in the online arena. She has won grants, provided professional development and presented at symposiums for innovative teaching techniques in the online classroom.
