Chrissy is an Early Career Researcher, Registered Nutritionist and health author with over 20 years of experience working in the nutrition and health industry. Chrissy recently conducted a clinical trial assessing a remotely delivered diet and exercise intervention (higher plant protein intakes and resistance training) in older adults with metabolic-associated fatty liver disease as part of her PhD at Deakin University. Her research expertise lies in conducting both quantitative and qualitative research in the area of muscle health (sarcopenia) and its link with chronic diseases. She is passionate about healthy aging, the role of diet and exercise in optimising body composition, cardiometabolic and mental health outcomes, and the Mediterranean diet.
Chrissy is currently the Clinical Trial Research Fellow at Southern Cross University on the Healing Climate Related Trauma (HEART) clinical trial. She is expanding her research focus to include innovative trauma treatments, including compassion-focused groups and MDMA assisted therapy.
