Philip Dare

Biography

Philip Saagyum Dare is a researcher in the Faculty of Education. His work explores the intersections of educational leadership, culture, and social justice, with a focus on re-imagining leadership in early childhood and basic education through Freirean critical pedagogy. His PhD, Context within Context: Towards a New Understanding of Headteacher Leadership Enactment in Ghana’s Early Childhood Education, advances a relational and context-responsive understanding of leadership in the Global South.

Philip’s research spans critical leadership studies, education for sustainable development, and child development. His publications appear in leading journals such as Educational Management Administration & Leadership (Q1, IF: 2.7), Sustainability (Q1, IF: 3.3), International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education (Q1, IF: 3.0), Journal of Educational Administration and History (Q2, IF: 1.8), Frontiers in Psychology (Q2, IF: 2.6).
