Clare Thorpe

Biography

Clare Thorpe is an award-winning library leader, evidenced-based research-practitioner, and board director. Clare is the Director, Library Services at Southern Cross University. She has worked in academic and state libraries since 2001 using evidence-based methods and analytics to implement user centred innovations and digital library services.

Other

Clare is a Distinguished Certified Practitioner and Non-Executive Director of the Australian Library and Information Association (2020-2024). She was awarded the Association's Metcalfe Award (2005) and Queensland Library Achiever of the Year Award (2016). Clare also serves on the Executive Committee of Open Access Australasia (2022-2024).
