I am a lecturer and a researcher in accounting at the Southern Cross University. Before I joined the School of Business and Tourism, Southern Cross University, in February 2009, I have worked as an academic at the University of Adelaide, the University of New England and other universities since 1992.
My research interests cover securities market supervision, carbon emissions, corporate governance, corporate reporting and earnings management. I have published many papers in the international journals, editorial books and conference proceedings.
I supervise a number of PhD, Master of Business by Research and Honours students. Completion of 2 PhD students, 1 Master of Business by Research and 3 honours.
I am the Unit Assessor of ACCT3004 Auditing, ACC00145/ACCT2002 Financial Reporting, ACC00712/ACCT5001 Business Accounting, ACC00713/ACCT6001 Company and Financial Reporting, ACC92211 Company and Financial Reporting for Managers, and ACC71210 Business Accounting for Managers.
Since 1992, I have taught ACC00129 Financial Information for Decision Making, FIN10708 Finance and Investment for Business, ACCTFIN7017 Financial Statement Analysis, and ACCTING7019 Accounting Concepts and Methods etc..
I am a member of Certified Practising Accountant Australia (CPA Australia) since 2003 and a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) since 2008.
