Associate Professor Suzi Syme is Associate Dean (Education) of SCU College and Coordinator of the award winning Preparing for Success Program. Suzi has designed a framework for teaching in enabling programs, the GEMS Model of Success, and has published in internationally, peer reviewed journals on creating a culture of success via the use of interactive teaching strategies that empower students in their learning. Her recent scholarship of teaching and learning projects investigate the impact of the SC Model on students' experience of the enabling program. She is also co-leading the first national benchmarking project of enabling programs across Australia with the aim of establishing national standards for enabling programs.
