Trudy Mason

Trudy's experience in learning design began early in her career after graduating from the College of Fine Arts (UNSW) with a Bachelor of Design. As an Exhibition Designer at a museum in Sydney, she worked collaboratively with curators, educators, and other staff to design engaging, interactive exhibits, incorporating artifacts and interpretive multimedia materials to enhance the visitor experience and effectively communicate a narrative.

After moving to Perth with her young family, she completed a Master of Teaching (Primary) at UWA, working in public education in WA, followed by the Gold Coast. As the Education Coordinator for an environmental consultancy, Trudy designed, developed, and delivered environmental science programs to schools and community groups, and professional development for teachers. While undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Education (Innovative Learning Design), she was employed by the NSW Education Department as a Learning Designer for their 11 schools of distance education. Using current research into best practice for online delivery, Trudy designed and developed courses across K-12, incorporating UDL principles and other appropriate educational frameworks to cater to a diverse range of learners through the innovative use of technology.
