Julia is a Clinical Psychologist with more than 10 years experience and a Lecturer in Psychology within the Faculty of Health at Southern Cross University. Her research and academic work focuses on perinatal mental health, maternal wellbeing, childbirth-related trauma, and parents' experiences of psychological care across the perinatal period.

Alongside her research and academic role, Julia brings substantial clinical psychology experience to her work. Her combination of clinical practice, teaching and research supports a translational approach aimed at connecting psychological evidence with improvements in maternity, perinatal and family healthcare.

Outside of her work, Julia is a proud mum of two who enjoys keeping active and making time for sport and fitness. She is currently training for HYROX and values the role that movement, challenge and wellbeing play in maintaining balance in a busy professional and family life.
