Biography
My research specializes in farming systems, land use, soil carbon dynamics, and carbon accounting, with a focus on soil health, climate change impacts, life cycle assessment, and greenhouse gas emissions. My work supports sustainability and productivity by translating complex datasets into actionable insights for carbon, land, and agricultural management. Additionally, as an expert in GHG baselining and carbon offset strategies across the agriculture, plantation and forestry, energy, transport, and waste sectors, I develop science-based metrics at farm, landscape, and local government scales to advance Australia’s net zero and broader sustainability goals. My academic background includes a PhD in soil carbon dynamics, dual master’s degrees in soil science and horticulture, and a bachelor’s in agriculture.
My work contributes to the following UN Sustainable Development Goals
