Kelli Knuth

Kelli is an experienced IT professional, having worked in IT, education and business for many years. As a Technology Facilitator at the Centre for Teaching and Learning, she brings  a wealth of experience woven through various domains and fuelled by a lifelong passion for education and design. Her journey at Southern Cross University commenced as a mature-aged undergraduate in Technology Education, later pivoting to a Bachelor of Information Technology to deepen her expertise in the ever-evolving realm of IT.

In her role at Technology Services, Kelli worked with both staff and students on the Gold Coast Campus, becoming a go-to resource for navigating the intricacies of technology. Her commitment extended to spearheading projects at SCU, from her involvement with campus-wide computer upgrades to creating a compelling program leveraging virtual reality and game development to captivate high school students' interest in IT.

Notably, Kelli collaborated on a ground-breaking virtual reality installation with TAFE QLD for the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. This project not only showcased the beauty of the Byron Bay Lighthouse but also encapsulated indigenous stories, demonstrating Kelli's commitment to intertwining technology with cultural narratives.

Post-graduation, Kelli seamlessly transitioned into the role of an educator, guiding IT and Business undergraduates in UX Design and Systems Analysis and Design. To date, her versatile work history encompasses the development of digital learning resources, proficiency in learning management systems, and a unique blend of skills acquired from roles in administration, customer service, tourism, and entrepreneurial ventures.

With an innate talent for problem-solving, a profound grasp of technology, and an unwavering passion for design, Kelli is ready to support your use of technologies at SCU with a user-centric approach.
