Research

My research forms part of the Cooling and Shading sub-program in RRAP. I use numerical modelling of the coral-symbiont relationship to investigate the role of light and temperature in coral bleaching. I collect environmental forcing data from laboratory experiments and examine coral bleaching through physical, physiological, and photochemical metrics to validate the physiological component of a numerical model.

My supervisory team is led by Associate Professor Daniel Harrison (SCU), Associate Professor Kai Schulz (SCU), and Dr Mark Baird (CSIRO).
