Dr Yulin Li is a Lecturer in Business (Accounting) at Southern Cross University, based on the Gold Coast campus. He contributes to teaching, research, and academic service within the discipline, with a strong commitment to high-quality education, impactful research, and collegial engagement.
Dr Li completed his PhD in Finance at the University of Adelaide in 2023. His research lies in corporate finance and corporate governance, with a particular focus on executive compensation, within-firm pay disparity, governance mechanisms, and firm-level risk. His work seeks to provide rigorous empirical evidence that informs academic debate while offering insights relevant to investors, regulators, and policymakers.
In addition to his academic qualifications, Dr Li is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM). He actively integrates data analytics, real-world financial datasets, and industry-relevant tools into his teaching and research, aiming to enhance student learning outcomes and graduate employability.
