Biography

Jaime is an experienced educator and naturopath with a strong background in health sciences and higher education. Holding a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy and a Master of Teaching, Jaime has been actively involved in curriculum development, teaching, and supporting student learning in clinical practice. Having worked at both Torrens University and Endeavour College as the national Program Manager for Nutritional Medicine; in 2022, she joined the National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine at Southern Cross University, where she contributed to teaching, course development, and more recently, research. Jaimes academic interests include the support of students as they integrate into clinical practice, the use of Generative AI in education and clinical practice, as well as teaching and learning strategies to best support naturopathic assessment and clinical decision making.

Teaching

With extensive experience in both tertiary and high school education, Jaime has served as a Unit Assessor, and Tutor, within the Clinical Studies suit of units, as part of the Bachelor of Health Science (Health & Lifestyle) and the Master of Naturopathic Medicine degrees. She has been instrumental in developing assessment frameworks, student engagement strategies, and course design to enhance student learning outcomes. Her expertise extends to practical teaching, where she leads the intensive workshops in physical examination skills for naturopathy students. Dedicated to evidence-based education, Jaime actively contributes to the scholarship of teaching, with a focus on innovative pedagogical approaches in health sciences.
