Biography
Dr Genevieve Vuong is a part-time lecturer at SCU and enjoys engaging students in her teaching interest areas of adult communication and swallowing. Clinically, Dr Vuong works as a certified practising speech pathologist at the Gold Coast Private Hospital, with a predominantly dysphagia caseload, across acute general medicine, oncology, critical care and rehabilitation services. Dr Vuong’s PhD dissertation investigated the feasibility, usability and acceptability of delivering a Comprehensive, High-dose Aphasia Therapy program via telerehabilitation (TeleCHAT). She continues to hold research interest in the development and application of digital technologies and telerehabilitation in communication management. Ultimately, Dr Vuong is passionate about enabling equitable access to speech pathology services, especially for people with aphasia and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
