Dr Ashlyn Sahay holds a conjoint research academic appointment with Southern Cross University and Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSW LHD), providing strategic leadership in patient‑care and health‑service research across 12 hospitals and health services. She drives the development, translation, and implementation of evidence that improves care quality and system performance, with a strong commitment to regional and rural communities.
Her role centres on building research capability within the health workforce, enabling clinicians to lead locally relevant research and embed sustainable, evidence‑based practices across NNSW LHD. Through this work, she strengthens a culture of inquiry, supports innovation in care delivery, and advances research that directly benefits patients and the health services that support them.
