Biography
Dr Rosanne Freak-Poli is A/Prof of Social Prescribing and Integrated Care. As a social epidemiologist, she strongly driven by social justice, being the equitable distribution of wealth, opportunities, and privileges within a society. She has built an independent research program through award of an NHMRC Early Career Research Fellowship, a National Heart Foundation of Australia Postdoctoral Fellowship, and is currently a ACR DECRA fellow.
Rosanne's prior work has advanced the understanding of the critical role that social determinants play in promoting healthy ageing, reducing cardiovascular risk, and preventing dementia. Her current work focuses on strengthening real-world solutions, particularly social prescribing and social connection programs, through co-design, evaluation, and scaling. Rosanne’s mission is to apply rigorous epidemiological insights to inform policies and programs that enable longer, healthier, and more meaningful lives for all.
